It is July. That means summer break, cookouts, and of course it means we are in the middle of our two week Walt Disney World vacation! We have collected a lot of content which we look forward to sharing with you over the coming weeks and months. In the meantime, here are some quick site updates and sneak previews. We Are Now On Instagram! You can now find us on Instagram at, appropriately, busterandthebanshee. We haven't decided exactly how we want to use it. For now, we just used it to post updates about our Walt Disney World Four Park…
We are so excited that we only have one week until our WDW Four Park Character Meet Challenge to raise awareness and money for the Phelan-McDermid Syndrome Foundation! For those you might not know what I'm talking about, you can read about it here and here. We have mostly finalized our itinerary. I say "mostly" because we will continue to check the character meet schedule up until the day of the event. But here is what we have so far. Part One: Epcot As I mentioned in my initial article, Epcot seems to have the most opportunities for character meets.…
This post is the third in a multi-part series on Walt Disney World's Disability Access Service (DAS). Part 1: Introduction Part 2: Signing Up In this article, I will talk about making Advanced Planning Reservations after you have pre-registered for the DAS. What Are Advanced Planning Reservations? After you pre-register for the DAS, Disney allows you to reserve up to two one-hour windows to select attractions anywhere from 2 to 30 days in advance of your park day. This is a neat perk that gives you better control over your park day. You can think of it like the old…
Banshee and I love sports, particularly the NFL. One of the joys of being a professional football fan is the annual NFL Draft. This is where teams take turns selecting college players to join their team. It is exciting watching to see how your favorite team select players so that they can improve themselves. The NFL Draft has evolved into a major event in its own right, tons of coverage, analysis, draft grading (where experts rate how well a team did choosing players). We at Buster and the Banshee decided it would be a fun afternoon activity to have our…
This post is one of a multi part series on the WDW Disability Access Service. These posts are based upon our own personal experience with using DAS with our daughter, so your mileage may vary. In our first article in this series, we provided an introduction to the Disability Access Service: what it is? how it works? who is eligible? In today's article, I will walk you through the process of signing up for the DAS. Before You Sign Up Before you start the process of requesting a DAS for yourself or members of your party, you need to be…
After a hiatus of a few months, Overrated/Underrated is back! In today's edition, we will discuss Table Service restaurants that we consider to be underrated. These aren't necessarily our favorites. However, these are ones that we consider to be great choices for which which are often overlooked by theme park goers. In some cases, you might even be able to walk up! So without further ado, here is our list of hidden gems. MAGIC KINGDOM: Tony's Town Square Tony's generally has a poor reputation for some reason, but we think it is a solid dining choice in the Magic Kingdom.…

Last week, Disney announced a number of big changes coming to Walt Disney World in 2024. One of those changes that is getting the most attention is the return of the Disney Dining Plan. This is a pre-pandemic feature where guests staying at a WDW hotel could pre-pay for their on-property meals prior to their trip. The popularity stemmed from the fact that you could budget for dining in advance and, if you took full advantage of the plan, you might actually save money. In addition, Disney sometimes offered "free dining". This is where you could get a dining plan…
