{"id":653,"date":"2023-05-28T19:39:44","date_gmt":"2023-05-28T23:39:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/busterandthebanshee.com\/staging\/9512\/?p=653"},"modified":"2025-11-18T18:28:04","modified_gmt":"2025-11-18T23:28:04","slug":"wdw-four-park-character-meet-challenge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/busterandthebanshee.com\/staging\/9512\/wdw-four-park-character-meet-challenge\/","title":{"rendered":"Update on the WDW Four Park Character Meet Challenge"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A few weeks ago, <a href=\"https:\/\/busterandthebanshee.com\/staging\/9512\/announcing-the-wdw-four-park-character-meet-challenge\/\">we announced our Walt Disney World Four Character Meet Challenge<\/a> to raise awareness and money for the <a href=\"https:\/\/pmsf.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Phelan-McDermid Syndrome Foundation<\/a>.  In this article, I am going to share some very exciting updates that we have with regards to our challenge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">We&#8217;ve Set a Date!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>First, we have set a date for when we will be making our attempt at this challenge.  <strong>That date is Friday June 30th 2023<\/strong>.  We changed our Park Reservation to Epcot, where we will begin our challenge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Our Donation Site Is UP!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Second, <a href=\"https:\/\/secure.qgiv.com\/event\/celebratepmsf\/account\/1525038\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">we have created a donation web site for the challenge<\/a>, where you can learn more about Phelan-McDermid Syndrome and donate to the cause.  To get things kicked off, Buster and the Banshee have pledged to donate $100 for each character that we meet during the challenge.  Just to be clear<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>10 Characters = $1,000<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>15 Characters = $1,500<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>20 Characters = $2,000!!!!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Believe us, we aren&#8217;t going to sandbag our attempt now that money is coming out of our pockets.  This is only going to motivate us to meet as many characters as possible!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Follow Our Progress On Instagram<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/busterandthebanshee\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Finally, we have created a busterandthebanshee Instagram page where you can follow along with all of our challenge day adventures<\/a>.  We plan to post pictures of our character meets (if it isn&#8217;t on social media, it didn&#8217;t happen), as well as other fun updates as we make our way through the four parks.  We&#8217;d love it if you comment as we go.  It will keep us motivated!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the date gets closer, we will be finalizing our plans for our attempt.
