Banshee’s Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Refurb Recommendation

Rock n Roller Coaster

[Say that five times fast!]

So Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is offline for repairs again.  And seemingly it’s down until Summer 2024.  That got me thinking:

Banshee, would you re-theme it while it’s down?  If so, what would you do?

If the repairs are so extensive that the coaster is down for six months, then I think now is the perfect time for a re-theming.

Now hear me out… I love the ride as is. I like Aerosmith and the high energy music.  But as Steven Tyler says in the pre-show, “hold on… I love that idea!”  And I have seen multiple ideas people have for a new theme.

Banshee loves her some Muppets!

The first theme idea I saw which I loved was “Muppet Mayhem”. But the show is not getting a season 2, and so I guess it did not capture audiences as well as it captured me.  I have a lifelong love of the muppets from childhood.  But I can see that Disney seems to never know what to do with my beloved Muppets, and so I let this idea go (sadly).

But one door closes and another opens.

Think about the ride’s theming as it is today.  Now picture you in a car with Goofy and Max trying to get through LA traffic to arrive at the Powerline concert on time.

I give you “A Goofy Movie” theming!

After Flower and Garden is done, Goofy will be on his way to the Powerline concert!

It would be a genius move. The Goof, Max and Powerline have an almost cult-like following.  Super popular.  I cannot see anyone objecting to Max and Goofy getting a ride.  In addition, think about how easy the current ride could be transformed.  The current premise is a ride through the chaos of LA traffic.  However, instead of the Aerosmith concert, you end up at the Powerline concert.  Sure you would have to do a new preshow, and change the music, but you HAVE the music from the movie!  And the colorful ride fits the cartoon nature of the movie.

Gawrsh! I see a winner!

Still a great coaster. No music rights to worry about. A popular character that already greets guests at Hollywood Studios.  Can you see the gift shop at the end of the ride?!  Easy success. Win for Disney. Win for Goofy Movie fans. Love on a Rollercoaster!

Sorry Aerosmith… it’s time.
