CHANGES COMING to Buster and the Banshee

Kermit clock in Hollywood Studios

It’s been almost three years since we launched the Buster and the Banshee website. Since then we have accomplished so much:

  • We’ve posted over a hundred articles, filled with useful Walt Disney World information
  • We’ve started a Facebook group with close to 5,000 followers
  • We’ve launched an Instagram site where we just crossed the 1,000 follower mark
  • We’ve started an Patreon site for premium subscription content (although at only $2/month, it is one of the best bargains on the Internet)

And we’ve done all this while holding down full time jobs plus caring for a special needs child!

We couldn’t be more proud of what we have accomplished so far. We aren’t in this for the money. To us, this is labor of love, allowing us to share our joy of Walt Disney World and what it has meant to our special little family.

That said, we feel like this site has been in its caterpillar stage. Our focus has been to just add fun and informative content for others to enjoy. We haven’t really had much of a set plan beyond that. However, now that we have multiple platforms, each with varying levels of engagement, we thought it would be a good time to think about how we want to evolve this caterpillar into a butterfly.

To that end, you will start to see some changes to the content on this website, as well as our other platforms. Here is the basic plan:

  • The website will shift away from blog style content. The focus will be on general informational content about Walt Disney World. You can expect to see things like Disney 101, traveling to WDW with disabilities, trip planning and strategies.
  • Our opinion, news, and “fun” content will shift to Instagram exclusively.
  • Facebook will remain as a hub from crossposting from Instagram and from this website.
  • Patreon will remain our place for premium content, like Infographics and advanced guides.

We are also toying with the idea of using YouTube for long form, video-based tutorial content and possible other longer video content. However, doing video content requires a much bigger time commitment, so we’ll see if and when that materializes.

Regardless if you have been with us since the beginning or are a newcomer to us, thank you for joining us on this journey. Discovering WDW has truly been a beautiful thing for our family. We are blessed that we found a place that makes Little Banshee happy, and we are thankful to be able to bring her there year after year!
